CaML-Invenio Project
The CaML-Invenio Project is currently using Nutch software to undertake research into the use of the Welsh language on-line.
Nutch is an Open Source search engine. As such it is similar to Google and other similar engines.
CaML-Invenio is using this engine to search for and create an index Welsh language material. The primary goal is mainly to obtain statistical information relating to the Welsh language.
None of this information will be made available to persons outside our research group and no use of copyrighted material will be made. While the indices that are generated by the project will be searchable by members of the project, no further use will made other than to generate a statistical map of Welsh language presence on the World Wide Web.
CaML-Invenio respects the convention of the Nutch engine, including the No Bots protocol.
Please contact Andrew Deere (adeere@glam.ac.uk) for any enquiries.
